After: The offending spike is removed, the sulcus is cleared and dressed, and pressure on the skin is relieved so the toe can settle without the complications an untreated ingrown nail invites. Nails, skin, circulation and sensation are checked before treatment begins, so nothing is treated blind. - 2. Treatment explained as it happens. You are told what is being done and why, at a pace that suits you, including clients living with dementia or confined to bed. - 3. Aftercare and review.
